Buds form a conical shape with a rim at the bottom and has prolific orange flowers with 5 petals when open

That’s California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica). Orange is the typical flower color of the wild species but garden forms occur in a range of colors. You can see a few on my website at http://www.botanicalstockphotos.com/photos-eschscholzia-40.htm .
