Notes:
Shrub or small tree, size of small dogwood, maybe 8-9 feet tall, foliage dense, flowers have 5 petals single layer, yellow mass in center. As you can see it is in continuous bloom with spent blooms, current blooms, and opening buds all present. Woody stems. Veined leaves. I have never seen this before. It is growing on the campus at UNC as a foundation plant beside an academic building.
