Notes:
Found growing beside our shed on Vancouver Island just today (March 16) in a shady area. The leaves are wrinkly and thin with a fuzzy globe of blooms(?) on top. The big leaf behind it is part of another plant.

I found it by chance online. It is a Japanese butterbur and the big leaf is part of the same plant.
