Notes:

1113 AVENUE R ***** I was wondering what kind of a plant this is that seems to be thriving as a ground cover in my flower garden in front of my house, the area is mostly shady with Sandy and gravel filled soil mostly. It is on the ground under a bunch of Aspen trees, a few other plant in my garden consist of a bunch of purple flower penstemon, some irises, some orange California Poppy’s, and a couple others I am still trying to identify

With a busy back ground, it’s hard to see details clearly, i.e. the stems with attached leaves to tell whether the leaves are opposite or alternate. We want to narrow down the correct ID for you. Or you could wait for these to bloom, with flowers it would help quickly. Please resubmit with photo of a single specimen with its stems against a white clean background. For now, check out one of the plants with similar looking leaves. The creeping bellflower (Campanula rapunculoides). Best wishes! https://apps.extension.umn.edu/garden/diagnose/weed/images/broadleaf/creeping/CBellflower2_600px.jpg
