Compare to dallisgrass. http://www.ptrpest.com/turf/dallis/dallis.html Control options would depend on what grass you are trying to grow that is infested with whatever the weed may be. Are you trying to grow bermuda? Fingers crossed!

I have a project for you. Cut a four inch square, four inches deep out of the weed grass. Shake the soil from the sample. Are there any heavy white roots or just fibrous roots. Fibrous roots, no problem and maybe Alexander grass. http://www.stma.org/sites/stma/files/Technical_Resources/Weeds/Signalgrass.pdf Next, just a question. What kind of grass are you trying to grow?
