Pods have slightly sticky feel; caused itchy feeling on skin after handling

I can’t see the leaves clearly and guess this could be galls on a type of sumac plant (Rhus)? Check out Walter’s link below for sumac galls and see if you have a match. If this isn’t that, please resubmit with photos of the whole plant side view, closeup of the leaves & main trunk. On a side note, sumac genus is in the same family with poison ivy.
