Notes:
This plant volunteered right next to my front stoop. I’ve never planted anything like it so I have no idea where it came from. It has leaves bigger than my hand coming off a single stalk. The stalk is now waist high. The buds are about jawbreaker-size and close to the stalk. They start blooming from the bottom of the stalk up. Two or three have bloomed so far. The blooms are beautiful, and look a little like carnations to me. I would love to know what this is.
