Notes:
I found two of these trees growing in our woods. They are around 7-8 feet tall, just a few branches and leaves are 1-3 inches long. Insects seem to love eating the leaves. They are near the edge of a long driveway now but they had been under a mostly deciduous canopy.

Maybe a species of holly (Ilex). If this is of the genus, I can’t tell which one this is. Some of the species with similar long pedicels of fruits include Georgia Holly (Ilex longipes) & Cuberth Holly (Ilex cuthbertii). Check them out and see if you have a match.
