Notes:
Didn’t see any flowers or berries, but the leaves are fairly thick and snap pretty crisply when you break one in half. It’s grown pretty fast over the last year and a half and I actually need something I can propogate from cuttings and use as a fence hedge. That said, I know privets in general (if that’s what it is) are usually considered invasives. If I use it as a hedge, would I get more than I bargained for?

Looks like Wax Leaf Ligustrum or ligustrum japonicum. This is a cousin to the privet that will get out of control. The larger, darker leaves make a thicker and more attractive hedge. http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=LIJA
