Notes:
We are looking to find out what this plant is, if the “berries” are edible and more info if available. It was taken on our farm in WV and there are many others just like it. Found it at the edge of many of our fields – mostly on top of the mountain.

Maybe a species of sumac (Rhus), possible the winged sumac (R. copallinum). Check it out and see if you have a match. According to sources sumac’s species with red berries are edible. Click on images to enlarge from the included below. Best wishes! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhus_copallinum
