Blossoming for the past month throughout northeastern Georgia mountains, i.e., Helen area. Long and woody branches with waxy leaves.

I was just there last week and the Mountain Laurel was in full bloom. I canÕt make out the bloom detail in your picture but. I am betting thatÕs what it is.
