This tree just started growing in our yard. It has beautiful white puffy blooms.

There are not enough detail to help narrow down further. For now I could only speculate this maybe an ornamental flowering tree in the peach (Prunus persica), or Japanese apricot/Chinese plum (Prunus mume). Maybe you could give us photos i.e. buds & flower position on the branch, close up of leaves if there are any. Check out these included links for pictures of these flowers.
