Notes:
No apparent leaves, Balls started out light green and is slowly turning orange. Vertical stalk, seeds inside balls. Plant is slowly spreading across the property.

I’ve just seen these on a park trail in Charlotte nc, website says they’re ‘ noxious and annoying and a skin irritant, handle with gloved hands.
True, we were at the park today, my child picked a stem and told me her skin was itchy and hurting. I didn’t believe her! Went and washed her hands anyway. Now we know!
