plant plant reaches 8 feet tall could look like big weed with berries, it came up on its own in my back yard behind the lemon tree.

Those are pokeweed berries! A while ago, it grew in my backyard and I thought they looked yummy so I ate one, finding out later that they were poisonous. Nothing happened though, thank goodness.
