lily and daylily are 2 different types of plants. Its a daylily. Not sure of the type. Its a perennial usually used in border planting. Very low maintenance. Slow to spread, definitely a keeper. Enjoy!

Its definitly a day lilly comes in yellow, red, white, and pink i might have seen a purple one as well.
