These insects are devouring my Rose of Sharon. I would like to know what they are, and if they are harmful, or will just strip the leaves and flower seeds. They start out with red bodies with tiny white stripes. As they mature, they develop the black wing type structure. I live in South Georgia and have not seen these previously. Thank you.
