Notes:
Approx. 5 feet tall, leaves mostly alternate but some look opposite or almost so. Have three growing in strip garden in my front yard. Flower buds are growing on the tops. Several other plants have not branced at the top and one is approx 6 ft. See second picture for buds.

Seems like a lot of people notice american burnweed in the late summer… http://www.friendsofthewildflowergarden.org/pages/plants/burnweed.html It’s no big deal… I use it as a nutrient accumulator… when it gets large enough, I pull and add to compost… it pulls super easily… and we always see it come up… because it has seeds like dandy lions… fluff that blows in from the neighbor…
