Notes:
This has been in bloom for approx 2 wks. It is in my yard and may have arrived with some other wild flower seeds that I planted last fall, but I don’t see anything like it in the listed species of this particular mix. I see it commonly growing alongside rural roads.

One of the many helianthus species in bloom now. The leaves and flowers look too large for helianthus angustifolius which is blooming at my house, possibly yours is helianthus maximiliani?
