This has recently sprouted up in my garden. I’m in Virginia Beach, VA. The leaves look similar in shape and color to a Dogwood I have growing nearby but not exactly. If it’s a good tree, I like where it’s growing and would like to keep it.

One will sometimes get volunteer Dogwood babies. I’d let it grow for a bit and see what it turns into.
