Notes:
Found this in deep shade at the wooded edge of my property. Could it be native pachysandra? The deep lobes on larger leaves have me confused.

Without flowers to tell more, I’m guessing this could be a sanicle species in the Sanicula genus (?). According to sources there 4 species in GA; S. canadessi (Canada sanicle/ canada (blacksnakeroot), S. marilandica (Maryland sanicle), S. odorata (cluster sanicle), and S. trifoliata (large-fruited/beaked snakeroot sanicle). If this is not sanicle, make new post with with photo of flower. For now check out one of the species in the group. Click on images to enlarge. Best wishes! https://www.minnesotawildflowers.info/flower/beaked-snakeroot
