Found this in several locations hiking on John’s Mt. today (Walker County). I found it climbing both trees and rock formations. Any idea as to the name of this one?

Thanks for putting me on the right track! I think this is actually Polypodium virginianum, rock cap fern, as I found it mostly on the ground or on rock faces.
