Notes:
This is a main branch on a 10 yr old Fringe tree (Chionanthus virginicus). I first smelled the froth–like fermenting apple cider. Foam came from under the bark–no evidence of borers of damage under soggy bark. Best I could figure is alcoholic flux? Affected limb seems ok.
