Could you please ID this tall shrub or bush. I think those are seed pods on the plant. Leaves turn from purple to green. Growing in Harris County, TX. PIcture taken Oct 27, 2015 Thank you

Maybe Jatropha gossypiifolia with several common names; cotton-leaf physicnut, and bellyache bush.
