Zoysia – Burned Accidentally
Q: I was burning leaves under a cast iron grate in the driveway, it was really windy, and I looked away for a second. Need I say more? Have I done permanent damage to my zoysia?
A: Good news…I doubt the grass was harmed. The wind probably made the flames travel quickly, too fast to hurt the crown of the grass plants.
I know some folks still believe in burning their lawn in winter.
Why it’s a bad idea all around.
