Q: Is it possible to divide a peace lily?

A: Sure, it’s a perfect project to keep you indoors out of the heat! Spread newspaper on your kitchen table and pull the plant out of the pot. You’ll notice that the leaves seem to emerge from distinct clumps. Use an old steak knife to sever the connection between adjacent clumps. Each one should have several leaves and roots. Plant the clumps into fresh, high-quality potting soil and water thoroughly. They’ll slowly grow larger over the next couple of years.
