Grass Seed vs Fallen Leaves
Q: I know I’m late and gambling, but I laid a ton of grass seed down on Friday because I didn’t spread enough of it a month ago. Now there is a thin layer of leaves covering the lawn caused by the winds this weekend. Here’s the question: Should I rake the leaves immediately so that the sun can get to the seeds? Or is it too late, and should I be careful with the growing seed?
A: Why not get the kid down the street to blow off the leaves? They really need to go; you don’t want any shade on the little seedlings.
