Daffodil – Not Blooming

Q: How can I get my daffodils that haven’t bloomed in several years to bloom again?

A: Daffodils bloom in response to how happy they were the previous year. If you fertilized yours last spring or divided the clump and moved them to a nice new bed, yours may well bloom this coming year. If you mowed off the foliage right after they bloomed last spring, you probably won’t have blooms next year either. Daffodils prefer full to dappled sunshine and an application of fertilizer in spring. Follow those instructions and you should get blooms without fail.
