Christmas Cactus – Droopy After Repotting
Q:About 6 weeks ago I repotted our old root-bound Christmas cactus. It remains droopy even though most of the buds have bloomed. It’s in a window that receives afternoon sunshine.
A: If the spot in front of the window blinds is their permanent home, I think it is suffering from lack of light. Without adequate light, a plant can’t quickly recover from root damage done during repotting.
I get the best results with my Christmas cactus by taking them outside to a shady spot during spring, summer, and fall.
I bring them in when night temperatures are 45°.
With a little more light, I think your’s will be able to repair any damage done by the repotting.
