Apple – Burr Knot
Q: This apple tree has yellowing leaves thru-out it so if it’s borers I’m probably too late. Any suggestions?
A: UGA Extension pathologist Elizabeth Little says it’s burr knot, a disease I’ve never seen. (Thank you!) It can weaken trees and serve as an entry point for dogwood borers. However, there is no homeowner solution
