Aerify Plus – Thoughts
Q: I’m about to aerate and overseed fescue in my lawn but the drainage is poor with lots of compacted soil. I read about a product called Aerify Plus that you spray on the lawn. Ever heard of it?
A: Despite its name, I don’t think this product will help you. Its active ingredient is sodium laureth sulfate, a surfactant. It might be useful in limited situations.
See Dr. Waltz’s comments on surfactants
The best way to improve drainage is to redirect the source of water and till in organic material.
