Rat Snake – Found Skin
Q: I was unpacking a box that was on the top shelf in my garage and found on the tape a snakeskin. I am so scared that it may still be there.
A: It looks like the shed skin of a gray rat snake. It’s harmless to humans but not to mice!
This snake is a good climber but it’s VERY VERY unlikely to still be in the garage.
Snakes are terrified if vibrations that indicate a larger animal might be present. Your comings and goings insure that the snake skedaddled once it got rid of its old clothes.
