Trip to England – 2017

It’s decided! I have always wanted to visit the Cotswolds in England. I’ve been to London, but when I was there, everyone said “Yes, the gardens here are outstanding but if you REALLY want to see the prettiest part of our country, don’t miss the Cotswolds!”

So I’m going….and I’d love to have you go with me!

We’ll see the best of both worlds: the finest gardens of London and environs plus the green, rolling hills and terrific private gardens of the Cotswolds. We’ll see castles and stately homes and some of the finest historic buildings and churches in the country…plus villages with names like Stow-on-the-Wold and Shipton-Under-Wychwood.

Maybe you’ve heard of the gardens at Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and Wisley? What about the Oxford Botanical Garden and Hidcote Manor? We’re going to all of them! And we’ll enjoy delicious meals and fine accommodations between.

But here’s something you need to know: there will be a lot of interest in this trip from folks who have gone with me to South Africa, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Ireland, Italy and Cuba.

Most importantly, have no fear that “I won’t know anyone.” (you know me!), “What if the people aren’t nice?” (we’re gardeners, silly. We’re nice by nature!), or “Will my spouse enjoy it?” (there is something for everyone on this trip! Gardeners, non-gardeners, foodies, walkers and lazy folks can always find something to enjoy.)
