Mulch – Way Too Deep
Local landscape designer Lyle Collins noticed some really deep mulch installed by a professional company around crapemyrtles.
I see it too. It’s called “volcano mulching” and it is never good for trees. Moisture held around the trunk leads to rot and insect damage.
Why do “professionals” still do this?
Email me if you have an answer. I’ll keep your name private if you are a landscaper.
