Mushrooms – Growing from Bottom of Pot
Q: This is is growing out of all the holes in my potted fern. They are yellow: maybe mushrooms?
A: Your guess is correct. These are mushrooms growing out of the potting soil at the bottom of the pot. Potting soil tends to be wetter at the bottom of a pot so fungi easily grow there. These mushrooms are the result.
It’s easy to fix: water your plant only when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch.
You can just clip these mushrooms off.
