Corn Fertilizer Measurments
Q: Can you tell how to measure 1 1/2 lb. of fertilizer in cups? Would that be two cups? I need to feed my corn.
A: My mother used to say “A pint’s pound the world around!” She was referring to liquid measure, where a pint (sixteen ounces) of water weighs a pound. I know that granular materials have different densities but I think that in a garden, using materials like 10-10-10, three cups would weigh approximately 1 1/2 pounds.
