Pool Water – Recycling
Q: What do you think about watering with pool water? There is a lot of water waste from when we clean the pool and I was hoping to do something useful with it.
A: If the backwash water just has the normal amount of pool chemicals in it, it won’t hurt plants. However, the outdoor use of the water is controlled by the current water rules. Dehumidifier water and graywater are exempt from the rules but I believe pool water would be covered, so you can use it on your assigned days before 10 a.m.
