Bulb plant. Blades about an inch and a quarter wide and rounded on ends. No flower stem so far this Spring. Just bought the old house and have lots of surprises in the flower beds this Spring. Thanks in advance for the help.

This is likely a spider lily. No flower in spring and leaves die back during summer. In fall, up pops stem with flowers. Stems are strong and flowers are laid out in ring about 15 inches high.

Thank you! I’m going to watch it through the year and see what it does. Once it blooms (hopefully), I’ll have a better idea of what it is. Pretty sure you’re correct though. It is not in the best place and I’ll move it (and a couple of its friends) to a better location (more sun) as soon as it finishes blooming, or if it doesn’t bloom I’ll move it this fall. Thanks again!

It’s hard to tell with out the flowers. Some bulb plants bloom in the summer or fall. When it flowers and you still don’t know, please resubmit with photo of flowers. For now I’m taking a wild guess maybe belladonna-lily (Amaryllis belladonna). Check out the included link below for more information. Congrats on your new home & garden! Best wishes!
