This is a very aggressive type of weed grass that is taking over my St Augustine lawn. Weed killer doesn’t have any affect on it.

Please resubmit with photo of flowers. It will help us narrow it down quickly for you. For now I’m only speculating that it might be a species in the Murdannia? If this is of the genus, maybe doveweed (M. nudiflora) or another relative perhaps? Again flowers are needed to confirm or rule out this speculation.
