Notes:
Shrub blooming now. It is about four feet tall and wide. I can't tell if those are berries opening up into flowers or flowers turning into berries. Owner of plant unsure but says possibly in hydrangea family and thinks it is in Dr. Dirr's book.

Maybe something in the Dichroa genus (Evergreen Chinese hydrangea) ? This genus is in the hydrangea family. I can’t be certain if this is a species or one of its cultivars. I’m guessing this might be in the Dichroa febrifuga species. Copy and paste the included link below and see if you have a match! Best wishes!
