Beautiful pink-red flowers in late summer/early fall; shrub sized plant with distinctively shaped leaves.

    I believe Confederate Roses, like Devil’s Trumpets, etc are toxic. Neither my pets nor I have ever tried to consume it in any way, other than to enjoy its beauty. I have a photo of its blooms as my avatar on YouTube. When I lived where one lives now, I always pulled/cut the previous year’s canes, kinda like hydrangea but CR’s old canes produce even less in later years
