Notes:
This is a very leathery fern, and it seems to be taking over this flower bed. I searched on the internet for info that might identify and found something called brackens. Is that what this looks like? It’s evergreen, some fronds turn bronze in the fall and it’s about 3 feet tall.

It will be hard to tell with out the fern’s sori, cluster of spore-producing structures (sporangia). I’m wondering if this might be Autumn fern/Japanese shield fern ( Dryopteris erythrosora)? On the side note according to sources, bracken fern is a deciduous type. It appears yours is evergreen?
