Notes:
Pale green plants 36″-48″ tall. Hairy stem highly branched from large tap root. Leaves alternate, serrate, ovate, stiffly haired top & bottom. Basal leaves w/ pronounced stipules that continue minutely to leaf blade. Apically stipule & leaf blade merge completely and clasp the stem. Crushed leaves smell piney, sap sticky. Flower stems highly branched from leaf axil. Multiple yellow flowers 3/4″ to 1″ dia. w/ approx. 24 petals, yellow centers. Multipal sepals tightly clasped,

I do believe you are correct!
I’ve had another group tell me it’s Camphorweed, so it’s nice to get even more verification.
It surely *does* seem to be quite variable. I’ve photographed several plants now, and many of them look quite different than ones right next to them.
