Wish we could see the whole tree. For now I’m guessing, maybe something in the hazel genus (Corylus)? Possible the European hazelnut’s cultivar named ‘Harry Lauder’s walking stick’ (C. allevana ‘Contorta’? Check it out and see if you have a match.
