That would be so disheartening! The pictures IÕve seen of borer symptoms look a lot like your pictures. From what I have read you could divide and transplant your irises now. Inspect the rhizomes before replanting. From Missouri botanical gardens: When replanting your iris beds, it is important to trim away damaged or rotted areas on the rhizomes. To eliminate soft rots caused by bacteria, cut off the damaged parts of the rhizomes and dip the undamaged portions in a solution of 1Ðpart household chlorine bleach and 9 parts of water.
