Notes:

These 2 grow in my friendsÕ nice grass. She and her husband want to identify them and have your advice on how to get rid of them! May be weeds-not sure! Thanks!

    Hi Jim, thank you for your kind words! I’ll try my best to answer your question since both appear to look alike. Some of the diagnostic keys are: – Penny wort flowers are yellowish and a hint of purple. – Pennywort leaves , according to sources often have five to seven shallow lobes around the edge. – Ground ivy leaves are opposite and has hairy upper surface. – Ground ivy flowers are funnel shaped with blue to lavender.
