Notes:
I over-seeded my lawn in the fall with what I purchased as “rye”. I’ve over-seeded before. However, from the start this plant resembled fescue more than rye. Broader leaves, very fast growing rate, not the brilliant lime color of rye, and stalky. I use a Toro 2600 reel mower but the growing rate is so fast that I have to rotary cut it about every 3 days. It’s resembling tall fescue in my opinion. If it IS fescue, how do I get rid of it? I have TiffTuff bermuda trying to break through.

Walter Reeves The Georgia Gardener says:
I canÕt quite tell without a seedhead If it is fescue, mow at 2 inches or lower and fertilize the Bermuda regularly
