Notes:
I have had this plant for 10+ years. It has been divided several times at various seasons with some success. It is on a dolly and I roll it in and out of the garage during this season. In the spring, summer and fall it is on the deck. As you can see it is held up by ropes from the garage casing otherwise it will blow over. What is it? Can I divided now? Can I cut it back without affecting presentation next season. I would like to have something that is less maintenance

Maybe something in the lacey tree Philodendron bipinnatifidum syn. Philodendron selloum? I can’t tell if this the species or one its cultivar. According to sources, in a warmer climate this plant can take pruning, dividing & re potting well. But given in a colder climate like GA, you can check out these links for further help in pruning & dividing now. Also it’s top heavy some stake or trellis to help stabilizing the pot. Best wishes Walter! Link to pruning. https://living.thebump.com/care-overgrown-philodendron-selloum-10072.html
