Notes:
Which gasteria is this? It was sold as brevifolia, but all descriptions of brevifolia talk about prominent white tubercles (wart-like growths) which mine does not have and also many descriptions of brevifolia mention rosette… Any ideas as to which gasteria this is?

It appears to my eyes the yellow flowers of the tree with ID tag as Laburnum anagyroides in your garden could be the Cassia fistula one of its common name is called ‘Indian laburnum’. Check out these links for flowers images of Cassia fistula & Laburnum aagyroides to compare. Best to you Richard! Link to C. fistula, click on images to enlarge. https://www.feedipedia.org/node/325

It is with absolute delight that I show off my plants. The pictorial catalog of what I have in my collection can be viewed at http://Selva.Cabal.mx where you will also find links to the latest filmed tour of my garden. Though the narration is in Spanish, The plants and plant names that I use in the narration are the botanically accepted names. Also on that page are 7 or 8 chapters in my film series “Plant Porno” showing plants in bloom and in seed. Enjoy, Thanks for the great info and Happy Hollidays Richard

This blogger welcomes questions for the Gasteria genus. Also this article shows how confusing the taxanomy of Gasteria genus could be. https://thebelmontrooster.com/families-of-familiar-plants/asphodelaceae-family/gasteria-sp-ox-tongue-cow-tongue-lawyers-tongue/

Hi Richard, According to sources the name ‘Gasteria brevifolia’ is an unresolved one. Also there are numerous misidentified names for species & cultivars from this genus. I’m not able to find solid ID for your beautiful Gasteria cultivar. How ever I did find these very helpful links. Hopefully these could help you further. The image of Gasteria graillis variegata looks similar to yours, but Internet searching for this shows mostly the yellow variegate versions. Maybe The Chicago Botanic Garden is a better source? Best wishes! https://www.flickr.com/photos/srboisvert/14507599967/in/album-72157645773933171/
