Notes:
These seeds were given to me when I visited The Root House, off Marietta Square. They are from a plant that attracts Monarch butterflies. I do not remember if it is an old or newer plant. I found them recently in a change purse. I have had then 4 or 5 years. Is there any chance of germinating them and how do you suggest doing it?

Check my website notes on hyacinth bean If you donÕt think itÕs that, wait until April, dampen a paper towel, wrap the seeds in it and put everything in a Ziploc bag. put in a warm window. Check the seeds in 3 to 5 days. If they are swelling and sprouting, thatÕs great news. Loosen the paper towel To expose the white stem to light but keep the damp towel touching the seed base. Continue to keep it damp until the stem has made two green leaves. Use scissors to carefully cut away the pieces of paper towel that do not have roots attached to them. Transplant The seedling into a small pot and keep it in the window until early May, when you can plant it outdoors. If the seeds do not initially sprout in the paper towel, wait a few days and check again. If nothing has yet happened, the seeds will not sprout.
