Zone 8 Dotham, Alabama Friend says the more she pulls, the more there is. Bless her heart. I took a screen shot from her video of it. If it”s not clear, I’ll ask her for another one.

I have this in one section of my flower garden. 8×8 feet. They have the tubers, pulling doesn’t help, digging better, wonder how they will like roundup! Don’t like to use but I’m listing house, trying to clean up yard. Have been looking on leaf identifier , no success. Thanks for info.

Not weeds… those are good eatin’ Took some pics last year… http://stonethegardener.tumblr.com/tagged/stachys-floridana Sadly, Harvest seems to be in the spring, I was digging for tubers recently, and they were soft. Most people slice the tubers (raw) over their salad like radish, but I like mine served in soup, just as I take it off the burner… when you cook them too long, they lose their crunch…

Maybe some thing in the Stachys genus, possible Florida Betony (S. floridana). Check it out and see if you have a match. If this isn’t Florida Betony, let some of these blooms and make new post with flowers photos. Best wishes! http://www.wplawinc.com/image-carousel-b/florida-betony
